Dear Good News Reader,
The media have recently given wide coverage to the new “road
map” to peace in the Middle East. The current U.S. administration
is embarking on a familiar path taken by several previous
administrations—attempting to bring peace between the
Israelis and Palestinians. Although this effort is admirable,
the real “road map” to peace between peoples is
far different than most people could ever imagine.
Bible prophecy paints a fascinating picture of a time of
peace and prosperity that will come—not from any human
peacemaking efforts—but by the guaranteed return of
Jesus Christ. Our brand-new, 32-page booklet, The
Middle East in Bible Prophecy, describes that incredible
future time and shows the awesome events to occur prior to
the establishment of lasting, global peace. If you would like
a copy of this enlightening new booklet—sent free of
charge, with no obligation—you are welcome to order
it at www.ucg.org.
The pages of your Bible hold the true road map to peace.
The United Church of God, an International Association,
sponsor of the Good News magazine, is doing all it
can to convey that stirring knowledge to as many people as
possible. In fact, for the past several years, along with
other advertising means, we have used “card pack”
print promotions to reach literally millions of potential
Good News subscribers.
Through this inexpensive yet effective advertising method,
Good News insert cards, combined with promotional
materials from other advertisers, are bundled in clear cellophane
packages and mailed to individual households. Over 3.7 million
inserts will be mailed over the next several months and we
expect to add over 27,000 new Good News subscribers.
Interestingly, these inserts feature a striking photo of a
lion and a lamb, signifying the coming wonderful world of
genuine peace (see photo).

Thank you for your continuing interest in the Good News
magazine and the work of the United Church of God. Be sure
to let us know if we can be of help to you in any way.
Sincerely,

Roy Holladay
President
United Church of God, an International Association
