What does God expect from you?

Letters from our readers...

Thank you for sending me my first copy of The Good News. It is really Bible-based and helps me to know more about God and His plan here on earth. I have been searching for a way to know more about God, and this magazine is the solution God made to satisfy my spiritual hunger and thirst. Clear explanations of Bible references make it easier for me.

—C.M., Beirut, Lebanon

I received the September-October issue and enjoyed it very much. So did my husband. We are requesting that you send this magazine to us on a regular basis. Thank you for your honesty and for revealing what is going on around the world. You give us many answers to the numerous questions we have in understanding this sin-saturated world and to allay the many fears that plague us. Please keep up the good work. We need it desperately.

—Mrs. L.J., Estill Springs, Tennessee

Thank you for your commonsense articles on marriage in the last issue of The Good News. These days marriage is all too often approached with the attitude of getting what one wants, or the expectation that the "right" partner will automatically make one happy. The article shows that when two people do not always see eye to eye (and what two people do always agree?) they can choose to accept the other as he or she is. Naturally there are cases where this may not be enough, but if both partners are truly willing to submit to each other, that can surely make a difference.

Again, thank you very much for continuing to send me not only The Good News, but also the free booklets and the free Bible Study Course. Your ministry is a blessing to many people around the world and I know that God will always give you the strength, power and provisions that you need to continue serving Him in fulfilling the great commission. All your booklets are very interesting and valuable to read. Honestly, through them I began to understand God's true plan for mankind and His great laws for us. My friends are interested in your Bible Study Course.

Thank you very much for the valuable magazine and booklets that you have sent me. Your writers are fantastic and they are leading their readers into deep meditation. The Good News is fortunate to have such dedicated writers and our world is in need of such biblical interpreters.

Although I am a Roman Catholic, I really enjoy reading The Good News. There are so many who are not willing to accept God as their master, but The Good News is the pathway for them to realize who God is and why we should accept Him.

S.P.H., Sri Lanka

I want to thank your organization for providing us with free publications that expand our knowledge of the world we live in. My mom and I requested several of your booklets and we appreciate your services very much. Your publications help us to cope with life.

I just received my copy of The Good News and am busy reading it because it is so interesting. I pray that you will be blessed and continue to bring all nations together by passing the good news onto us. Future leaders, especially the youth like us who are growing up, need prayers and guidance.

I appreciate receiving The Good News. I am an Anglican, but everything I read in your magazine certainly coincides with my beliefs. I appreciate the information you give about what is going on around the world. Of course, some will be critical of this magazine because it tells the truth. The Good News is beautifully illustrated, and the layout is excellent. In my estimation, you have not only raised the bar to another level, but have sought to maintain the quality of the message contained in the magazine.

The Good News is my real link with what life is about and the plain, simple truth of Christ's reason for being during these days of false doctrine. Thank you for your honesty in this publication. Please find enclosed a modest contribution.

I just wanted to let you know that I did not request The Good News. I was going to cancel it, tired of companies charging me for things that I did not register for or request. But I was happy to see that I won't have to pay. I was even more pleased to see an article titled "Bringing Up a Moral Child." It is something I think about most every day. I have a 17-year-old who was ruined not only by circumstances in our family, but by society. Now I have an 8-month-old. I'm constantly thinking of how I will bring her up. How will I protect her from a society that has no respect for itself? So I look for Christian help everywhere.

Thank you very much for all your magazines, which I find interesting and informative. Thank you for providing such rich and informative reading material. Your articles cover a vast range of subjects and, unlike many publications, you maintain an unbiased and respectful stance toward other believers. The Good News has become a close and inseparable friend and a source of advice that helps me to face life's problems with hope.

Last week I found a copy of your magazine and read it. I have never been so impressed by any magazine in my life. You have covered so much that I am interested in and concerned about. I want all the suggested readings mentioned in each article. And I will make a contribution as soon as I figure out where to send one. If you come back to me on e-mail, I will send it to wherever you direct.

D.R.N., Internet

I want to thank you for your articles on "Winning the War Against the Family" and "Is America Still a Moral Nation?" Families are the building block of a healthy society, and thus healing begins with the family. If families begin to heal—truly becoming families as the Lord God wants them to be in the Bible—the whole nation will heal. And if the Ten Commandments were sincerely followed by the majority of the population, the entire nation would begin to heal.

The Good News is beautifully illustrated and the layout is excellent. In my estimation you have not only raised the bar to another level, but have sought to maintain the content and quality of the message contained in the magazine. Your articles are uncomplicated, straightforward and to the point—coming across with such clarity that they put the reader in a relaxed frame of mind, which makes it easier to retain the material.

I appreciate receiving The Good News. I am a Southern Baptist, but everything I read in your magazine certainly coincides with my beliefs. I appreciate the information you give about what's going on around the world. Of course, some will be critical of this magazine because it tells the truth.

I currently live in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and am writing to thank you for publishing such a wonderful magazine. The Good News is undoubtedly my favorite. This scripture-based publication stands for all the biblical principles and covers crucial topics in a terrific way. My prayer is that ten thousands of people will be reached by The Good News.
